Use and Care for your Tupperware
The majority of Tupperware brand products are guaranteed
for a lifetime of service with minimum care. Follow these simple steps
for best results.
In the conventional oven
Under a grill
On the stove
In a convection microwave oven

Strong solution of dishwasher detergent and water (¼ cup detergent to 1 cup warm water).
Cleaning
Tupperware brand products purchased after September 3, 1979, can be safely washed in the dishwasher (except for products listed below). When loading the dishwasher:- Wash Seals and containers together.
- Place Tupperware brand products securely on top shelf of dishwasher where the water will not force them loose - they will melt or warp if they touch the heating elements.
- For stains - use a baking soda paste.
Please hand wash these products:

- CheeSmart CondensControl™ Grid
- Ice Cream Scoop
- Any Tupperware brand products purchased before September 3, 1979.
When you hand wash:
- Use warm, soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge.
- Dry with a soft towel, or air-dry away from direct heat.
- Avoid any abrasives (even baking soda) on these items. Abrasives will dull the finish or leave scratches.
Storing:
- Store containers without their Seals on (to keep containers air fresh).
- Keep all Tupperware brand products away from sharp utensils that can scratch smooth surfaces.
Storing food in Tupperware:
- Cool hot liquids that contain fat before you place them in Tupperware brand containers. Soups, sauces, oils, or cooking grease can get hot enough to damage the containers.
- When you use Tupperware brand containers to store hot beverages made with boiling water, let the liquid cool before handling the container.
Microwave cooking of food in Tupperware:
Use only TupperWaveTM, TupperChef Baking Forms & UltraProTM products for microwave cooking.The TupperWave product line is guaranteed for a lifetime of cooking when you use and care for it properly.Use the following guidelines for TupperWave cookware:
- Use TupperWave products only in the microwave.
- Do not use TupperWave products:
In the conventional oven
Under a grill
On the stove
In a convection microwave oven
- Always use potholders to handle containers after cooking in the microwave.
- Use plastic or wooden utensils to avoid scratches.
- TupperWave products are not recommended for cooking popcorn.
- Avoid cooking small amounts of food high in fat and sugar.
Using TupperChef Baking Forms:
Do not use:
- Under a grill
- On the stove
- Exceed temperatures of 220ÂșC
- Or use sharp utensils i.e. knives
Using UltraProTM containers:
- Use in microwave or conventional ovens
- Follow microwave safety practices as for TupperWave products.
- Do not bake in conventional oven at higher than 250°C.
Reheating foods in Tupperware reheatable products:
- Such as products from our Rock 'N Serve ranges.
- Do not use reheatable products:
One the stove or under a grill
In convection microwave ovens
- Do not use containers in the microwave with the classic Tupperware Seal applied.
- Tupperware reheatable containers are designed for reheating (medium/50%) only. Do not use them to cook foods and use extra care when reheating foods that are high in sugar, oil, and fat.
- Reheating tomato-based sauces and foods may cause staining as a result of natural food colourants found in many vegetables.
- Always use potholders to handle containers after reheating in the microwave.
- If overheating occurs, allow containers to cool before handling.
Storing food in Rock ‘N Serve products:
- Allow food to cool before you apply Seal.
- If the Seal seems too tight, place it in hot water for a few minutes; dry thoroughly; then apply to container while the seal is still warm.
Cleaning TupperWave, UltraPro and Rock ‘N Serve products:
- Wash containers and Seals in the dishwasher or in hot, soapy water (Seal on top rack only).
- Soak in hot, soapy water if food is sticky or baked on.
- For persistent stains, use one of the following:
